The Wood-Mizer MS500 table saw features an efficient cutting unit shielded in a cast iron body, a scoring blade, and a sliding table built on guide rollers. It is an alternative for larger panel saws with full-size sliding aluminum tables. The MS500 is ideal for cutting medium-sized boards – maximum cutting dimensions 1300 x 1260 mm.

The MS500 is a compact table saw with an easy adjustment of cutting parameters, in which the main blade’s height and angle are controlled by hand cranks featuring gauges for precise adjustments. The exact cutting width is displayed on analog indicator with a magnifying glass along perpendicular guide. Optional electronic readouts for ultra-precise measurements up to 0,1 mm are available.

The MS500 table saw features a quality sliding mechanism for easy parallel and perpendicular positioning of the material on the worktable and efficient cutting. The support table increases stability while working with a demanding material.

The scoring blade is a solution designed for full-size panel saws for neat and precise material cutting. To replace the main circular blade or remove the scoring blade, you can unscrew the top cover and open a small magnet plate to quickly access the main blade. The scoring blade height is adjustable and can be conveniently lowered underneath the machine if it is not needed.

Inside the MS500 is a circular blade with a maximum 400 mm diameter running at either 3500 or 4500 rpm, which can be adjusted manually by switching the drive belt between the pulleys at the spindle.

The main blade, driven with a 6 kW motor, and the scoring blade, with a 0,75 kW motor, are set up in a cast iron cutting unit which can move up for height adjustment or tilt to change the cutting angle (0-45 deg). The cast iron worktable rests on four bolts that allow for precise leveling.

The cast iron used for the production of the MS500 is sourced exclusively from renowned suppliers. It allows for stable and durable heavy-duty work while increasing resistance to deformations and vibrations.

For safe and comfortable work, the MS500 table saw has a main blade guard with attached wheels for easy material feeding, as well as a lifting mechanism. The safety shield also allows for effective cutting at 45-degree angles.

The efficient removal of sawdust and woodchips is possible with the main 125 mm outlet located directly at the cutting unit and the additional 100 mm outlet on the blade guard arm.

The operator panel consists of the main and scoring blade switches, LED indicators for the blade speed, and the emergency stop button.

The MP280 is equipped with an intuitive control panel with the switches engaging all motors and the feed mechanism separately, allowing for lower energy consumption and noise emission. The 13,78 kW electric motors drive the cutter heads at 6000 rpm, ensuring the best possible finish of the board surface.

The MP280 features two horizontal cutter heads – the top shaft with a length of 410 mm and a diameter of 88 mm, while the bottom one 300 mm x 72 mm, and two side cutterheads (one in a fixed position and one moveable), which mould the material with a maximum height of 100 mm. Increased efficiency is possible due to 4-sided cutting in just one pass through the machine.

The feed mechanism has been incorporated from the bigger MP360 unit and comes with a variable speed of 3-15 m/min. The material feeds in and out of the machine on the 1,2m tables with protective steel curtains installed over the infeed entrance to prevent material throwback.

There are four sawdust exhaust ports – one with a diameter of 125 mm and three with 100 mm – and additional covers and brushes installed inside the machine to drive out the waste material from around the cutter heads as efficiently as possible. The MP280 planer/moulder is compatible with the Wood-Mizer MES dust extraction systems, which have been designed to keep the workplace clean and tidy.

This moulder/planer/ripsaw machine combines these 3 important operations in one single unit, increasing productivity and therefore saving time. In addition to all Wood-Mizer Woodworking Machines, the MP220 is an ideal solution for sawyers and carpenters who want to process more timber in a relatively short time. The MP220 features two sawdust extraction ports (125 and 100 mm) on top of the main cover, and one (50 mm) under the cast iron table, helpful in keeping the work area clean.

Ripsawing is optimized for safety and ease of use. The ripsaw blade is hidden under the top cover and can be easily adjusted by the operator. With a maximum ripsawing height of 80 mm, feeding of material on a cast-iron table is smooth and secure. Over the feed table, there is a control unit, allowing for easy operation of the machine. The machine works with a set feed speed of 5 m/min (ECO version), or at a variable speed of 2-11 m/min (PRO version).

The MP220 machine is highly versatile, so it can turn every woodworking idea into a final product. It’s an indispensable tool for both amateurs and professionals who would like to make their own quarter rounds, floor decking, panelling, crown mouldings or wide floorboards. Most of these products can be made in one pass, while other, more advanced mouldings require 2 or 3 passes through the machine. The electrical motors provide the rotation speed of 6000 rpm, ensuring a smooth surface on the final products.

It has been designed, like all Woodworking Machines, as a high-quality and sturdy tool, built around a cast iron table, to ensure the precision of ripsawing and the best results of moulding/planing. Cutting knives offer the maximum depth of moulding at 20 mm. Maximum planing dimensions are 400 mm wide and 240 mm high.

Working with the MP220 can begin just after unboxing the machine, but it can be adjusted as required with the help of accessories available from the Wood-Mizer TOOLS range. It’s very easy to change the configuration of the cutterhead by adding knives or adjusting the blade for ripsawing. Its compact size, lightweight construction (240 kg) and optional transportation wheels make moving it around the workshop quick and effortless.

The MP220 is shipped on a small pallet (120 x 105 x 136 cm).

You begin by planing or moulding one or two adjoining sides in one pass. The power feed rollers move the board under the horizontal cutter and past the vertical side cutter. If you are just planing, then you can simply flip the board over, adjust the table height, and then plane the final two sides.

If you are moulding a profile, then you simply need to change out the knives, adjust the table height and then mould the final two sides.

With the MP200, you can plane and mould timber in only two passes.
